Keith at 5.5m isn't a bad contract. Petry at 5.5m is, Alzner at 4.6m is.

Because Keith is still a top defenseman


By the time Chicago refills their prospect stock, Keith will be retired. The Hawks are atleast 3-5 years away from a cup run. This would make it sooner.

Keith at 5.5m isn't a bad contract. Petry at 5.5m is, Alzner at 4.6m is.


I think he is pointing out term wise, similar to the downfall of Chara and Markov who are both were on similar contracts.
