First rounder, player, prospect, and an expensive goalie on an expiring salary to make the numbers work. Bennett could go too, but I like Bennett and what he brings, and so don't want to throw him in unless its absolutely necessary, as this trade makes the Flames top six way better, but moving out Bennett means the bottom six doesn't benefit from the added depth. But if it takes a first, player, player, prospect, and both players are young, talented players to help Ottawa's rebuild, makes sense. The Flames would definitely want to work out an extension, but it would be tough, between Stone and Tkachuk next year. So maybe add a conditional pick for resigning, to make it better for Ottawa if it happens, but doesn't hit the Flames too hard if he doesn't? let's say a conditional second rounder 2020 if Stone re-signs.
