NYR will be looking for a 1st minimum for hayes there are quite a lot of suitors after him currently nyr is just awaiting how the season goes and if someone will throw an amazing offer out.

Then you are going to have to wait for a team who is willing to give up a 1st rounder. You won’t get a 1st for him now. Too early in the season and with no extension in place. He’s not worth the risk of a 1st this early

Still wouldn’t give a 1st up for him regardless of deadline or not. He’s not worth a 1st round investment unless you are a team like the jets or preds who are basically a lock for a minimum 26th overall pick based on how good they are
