Can't be reasonable when you break CBA rules and sign a UFA from another team for 8 years.

You also created Zaitsev when he is already created. He is in the minors. Just promote him. Pretty sure his deal is only 2 years.

Don't see TB making the trade. Too much quantity vs quality.

The rebuilding Leafs certainly don't need the aging Hamhuis and Coburn clogging up the defence spots and the salary cap. Vasilevskiy is the goalie of the future for Tampa, he wouldn't be traded for "futures" as Tampa still wants to make a Cup run. Certainly Gauthier and Kapanen are not NHL ready and need big minutes with the Marlies next year.

How is that breaking CBA Rules. I created this roster prior to Zaitsev signing and didnt publish. Coburn is a salary dump for TB, may be right on vasilevsky, but if they decide to go with Bishop the either trade vasilevsky or lose him for nothing in the expansion draft...

Could be right, but the Leafs don't exactly have a whole lot of promising young defencemen that are ready, you need some veterans on D to ease players in... Coburn is a salary dump to facilitate the Vasilevsky trade, need some NHL bodies to play defence so that the young players can develop with confidence and shelter.

Vasilevsky will be lost for nothing next year if in the expansion draft if he is not traded, TB will get more for him than Bishop and Bishop gives them a better chance to win now.

You can't sign an FA to an 8 year deal unles you owned his rights, max term is 7 years. So the Leafs would have to go acquire Stamkos from Tampa if they wanted to offer an 8 yr deal.
