Well... It is not realistic... No way the Avalanche trade Rantanen. For the Karlsson deal we have to less to offer.

In my opinion we have to trade Krug now. He is very valuable at this point and I dont see him improve (defensively). With Rantanen we would get the perfect player for the RW we desperately need.

About Karlsson: This deal is supposed to be at the trade deadline, when OTT needs something for him, before losing him for free. We all know they need a 1st Round Pick next year, too. When we pass the preseason very well, maybe Karlsson sees some potential in Boston.

The issue with the Re-signings next summer: Maybe we could trade DeBrusk/Heinen/Donato or something in a very nice package with Backes to a team like Vancouver... with Chara maybe retiring, we could Re-sign McAvoy/Rantanen and hopefully Karlsson too.
