I would honestly do that. If vancouver is in a rebuilding mode the higher the picks the better.

To improve our top prospect, lets play him on the 4th line with our defensive grinders. They will definately help his offensive output.
Let's give Gaborik top line ice time over Boeser and Virtanen, because he definately deserves top line ice-time.
Let's sign Pickard, as obviously we need a goalie. Not like Demko isint ready or anything. Also, since Dipietro was drafted last year, he is definately higher in the depth chart than Demko who was drafted 4 years ago and considered top 5 in goalie prospects.


In all seriousness, I definately think you can get rid of Gauthier and the 7th, and put a 2nd in their place.
I would also rather have a defensive Eriksson over a nothing Gaborik especially if we have to give up a pick to do so.
