It would cost way more to move both the Ladd and Boychuk contracts. Why take Bobby Ryan's contract after you try to dump cap space elsewhere? Faulk would cost more than that, CAR doesn't need wingers they need centers. Bergevin would laugh and hang up the phone at that trade offer, which is saying something. Griess can't stop a beach ball and has an ugly cap hit which gives him negative value imo.

Management is not at fault here. Pajama Boy mislead us from the beginning saying that he wants to stay and loves the Island. He told us not to trade him when we could've gotten value for him (Trade Deadline).

Management also should’ve extended him so that he wouldn’t have been a free agent. Also, they should’ve built a team and brought in players for him, but they didn’t. He made the right decision to leave the islanders

We brought in Eberle for him, and although he didn't pan out with Tavares (did with Barzal though) we found two great wingers (Bailey and Lee) for him.
