Enough Cap Space?

I think there is trade in the offing that will free up cap space and allow the wings to be under the cap. Biscuit Bakes think the Wings are in trouble and will lose a Detroit kid. AA or a player else like Glendening are probably gone.

I have to think Kenny has dotted his i's and crossed his t's before doing what he has done. If not he is a goner.

Whoa I never said I think they’ll lose Larkin. Just saying they’re primed to be taken advantage of, but we all know that won’t happen.

McCabe and a 3rd for AA. Fair? Cuts cap for DET to free space to give Larkin more term. Adds a 4/5 D with RFA expiry to DET plus a pick. AA can score 20 easy playing with Jack Eichel. Sounds fair to me.

It's sounding more and more like Z will be on LTIR and opening up his cap space. If that happens there's more than enough.

I'm thinking Larkin will get a bridge deal also similar to Mantha at around 5 million per year so they won't be over. There's too many long term bad contracts on the team for the next 2-3 years to give anythign long term to another player. But if he gets more then somebody will have to be traded. (Nyquist, Helm, Glendening or Athanasiou). Doubtful Kenny will put himself in that situation.

And apparently Zadina is going to be allowed to play in the AHL vs being back in juniors. Knowing the Wings he'll definitely spend a season in GR playing with men and then bring him up in 2019.
