You do realize that Jones just finished 4th in the Norrris voting and that he's a top-tier RHD, which is the rarest type of player in the NHL

CBJ doesn't pick up the phone unless the conversation starts at Marner/Nylander + 1st + Sandin. Seth Jones is a top 5 RHD in the league, And he's on possibly the best deal in the league, and there's no way you're going to be able to dump Zaitsev's nasty contract in the trade.

Also, a team that's going to be pushing against the cap for the forseeable future should NOT be trading a 30 goal centre making less than 4.5. you're going to have to pay any replacement 3C at least 3 mil and they won't give you that kind of production.
