Description
Obliviously I would be willing to add more to the Patchs trade(maybe a 3rd or 2019 2nd). But i think the value is close, all depending if Carolina would even want him right now given the direction this team looks to be going(and I picked them to make the playoffs this season, oops). and I see Zacha being traded by lots of NJ fans for mostly 2nds and a 3rd. So ill throw 2 2nds and a 5th for him to take a chance. I sign all my free agents at 2 years so they are easily buriable and all these guys are coming off down years and are probably do for a reduction in salary. this isn't a contending team, but this is what I think a step in the right direction is, except for signing Bozak, i think MTL does this out of panic. i would be fine not signing him but that's a thin center depth to say the least. he might cost you around 5m so im fine with that.

    Maybe dropping Zykov from the deal. TBH, Rask has a down year both because of playing with an injury and partly because of systems. There’s a large debate around Carolina about how Peters’ system stifled offense, particularly the production from its’ centers. That same trend continued in the World Championship and I’ll be curious how he does in CGY. Anywho, he is a legit 45 to 55 pt., 6’2”/200+, 200’ two-way, 55 percent at the dot, center. He is a promising young center and far better than anyone that MTL has at the position. But fans just look at last year’s numbers and listen to a few fan gripes and really lose the picture of this player. Now I’m not trying to change your proposal but I do think MTL fans are missing the boat on this guy. He has all of the tools to be a solid #2 center and has played that position for a couple of years. I’m sure after the Roddy Reboot, you’ll see he get back to form and then wonder why he wasn’t on anyone’s radar.
