Trades:
O'Reilly - Recently said he doesn't really enjoy hockey anymore based on how much Buf loses. Buf probably don't want to pay a player 7.5m that has openly said he hates hockey aka. playing in Buf. Patches and next years 1st plus a 2nd should help give Buf some offense from the wing.
Russell: him and schlemko are the same other then Russell blocks shots and Schelmko can kind of move the puck. I think the extra 1 million could go along way for the Oilers.
Jordie Benn: Like i said, I would trade him anywhere.
Signings:
Grabner: he could cost more 3m/ season. and if he needs to be signed at 3 million then fine.
Beagle, Bouma: Pure depth based. easily dropped able.

-Still have money to sign some depth Dmen if needed....probably needed. Bring on the Hate!!! Come at ME!!!!

I don't think Buffalo would do this for one year of Pacioretty. maybe swap with Galchenyuk and things can be tweaked from there.
Not sure about Edmonton either to be honest Russell is maybe overpaid but the way this works out is Edmonton will save 900k capspace per season for 3 years then in year 4 its 3 million. just not sure its enough.

Just as O'Reilly signed AFTER he came to Buffalo, IMO Botterill will get Pacioretty signed to a longer term contract.
