Continues on from 2018/19 roster. Asummes a $82M cap. Marleau retires, as I think is the plan with his 3 yr contract and only getting paid $1 M in his final year. Stays on with the team in a player development/mentoring role. If Hainsey hangs em up, maybe he sticks around in a similiar role, if not he walks on to greener pastures.

Even if Marleau retires, he still is 6.25m cap to some team (I don't see him retiring). If Zaitsev is good maybe the Leafs should keep him, and if plays like last year, no team would want him.

Palhal is correct, because he was 35+ when he signed and his salary for the final year of his contract is less then his cap hit there is the cap recapture penalty. I believe he would be a 2 million dollar cap hit for the remaining year of his contract. Toronto would be on the hook as he signed the contract with them.
