Not sure that would b the return Buffalo would b looking for from ROR. They do have a lot of kids coming up (Nylander, Mittelstadt, CJ Smith, etc.), and the last few veteran wingers they’ve had haven’t worked out too well (Moulson, Pouliot, Pominville, etc.).

Throw in a Shaw for V.Rask swap and I’ll take the Carolina deal. It give’s both players a chance to be on another team (and the Canes love taking former Hawks players).

Idk if Kovi would want to go to MTL, or if they should pay Stastny 7M or JC 10M.

Buffalo would not want Pacioretty. He's a really good player but his age wouldn't make since for them. My guess is something centered around Galchenyuk would make more since. I have a feeling a bunch of teams will be in on ROR and the offers will be pretty good.

It is tough to convince players to come to Mtl. Overpaying 1 or 2M$ more then what others are offering might do it.
Mtl is a scary place for 3 reasons: Income tax, Climate & Agressive medias.

I think Patch would be very welcomed in Buffalo and a perfect LW for Eichel. In the mean time, they have a O'Reilly as a 3rd line center paid 7.5M$ for 5 more years.
