both ARZ and TML are overloaded with LHD and have been in the market for RHD for years with no success.
the chances of them take overpaid shot blockers is slim to none .(especially ARZ who has OEL and Chykrn alread )

Petry's Modified NMC might actually work out as TML is a good team now and we could dangle Petry infront of them who if a legit top 4 RD on any NHL team including the best who can play 25-26 minutes .
you could use that to land a pick and a prospect (similar to a Rychel or Valiev aka seeking new contracts and TML needs to make contract space )
Someone like Gauthier for example who MTL would Covet who is the equivelent to TML's Mccarron drafted the same year 3 spots ahead of Mccarron with less production .
Really its the Pick MTL would want but Gauthier is a Laval Native and could be huge for MTL's new AHL Franchise using that as a rallying point to crack the NHL team (its a gamble but i like the odds depending on the pick )


Schlemko you'll have to take a cap dump and give up a pick to move , there is no doubt about it with his term even with reduced cap he's a 7th D on a bottom NHL team .
grab Matt Moulson from BUF maybe they'll bite as he has a 3.9m cap hit buried and which is high enough it might be worth gambling on Schlemko knowing they could just buy him out and take less of a cap hit then if they bought out Moulson .


i like the Drisatl deal
it fills their holes quite nicely while not screwing them over cap wise leaving them out to still make moves
that being said i be remiss if i didnt say adding Lucic to the deal helps balance it out so its more appealing to EDM fans
as thats a 6m cap dump long term , they could sign a Tavares ,Statsny ,Neal or Nash to play with or behind Mcdavid .

overall i like it for MTL as it makes us a better team but that being said 2/3 dont address the other teams needs
