Description
Montreal finally gets its first line centerman, after the islanders being officially out of the playoffs JT signs with Montreal charmed with the potential Price & Weber bring to the team (as well as being his old Team Canada team mates). Montreal will most likely draft around the 5th or 6th spot so an elite D-man like Evan bouchard would be interesting for them. It is important to keep in mind that Bergevin must sign Jake Evans this summer and for that he will convince him by playing an important 2nd or 3rd line center spot as well as a penalty killing role.

None of the trades make any sense for MTL except for the Shaw trade. We traded Holland for Cracknell and Holland gets put on waivers a lot, we don't need to give up McCarron and Carr for him. The Habs would like to keep De La Rose to see what he can become. I'd also prefer a 2019 3rd over Pitlick who is as good as Froese. Galchenyuk is better suited for center than Hudon. Also, J.T. will probably not sign for anything but 14 million, everyone wants him, and the Habs are not looking like the best place to go.
