It baffles me as to why posters on here see so little value in RNH? While he may not have proven out to be a #1 center, his upside is such that he could easily slide into that role on the right team, and certainly fits easily into many top 6! Your proposed deal with Edmonton doesn't come close to what they will be looking for should they decide to move him. Edmonton also looking for a top 4 Dman in return.

Green for RNH? Tanev for RNH?

Not sure Green supplies the value and Tanev could if he could stay healthy! I wonder if Edmonton ends up keeping him but I could see him moved to Carolina for a package including one of their solid young D prospects, Anaheim may have a fit, Ottawa in a blockbuster including Karlsson, but would have to be a very complicated package. Also could fit in Colorado with likely Barrie coming back.

So Nugent-Hopkins for Slavin (like the Hall trade) or RNH for Pesce and Nicholas Roy/Stelio Mattheos

Good luck Green wants to stay in Detroit and finish his career there, Green turned down a trade with Vegas would only waive for Washington and Tampa. He wants to stay in the east he pretty much said. So if Edmonton wants Mike Green it isn't happening.
