Description
Most likely, the Blackhawks will pick between number 6 and 9 at the Draft. And their second firts round pick that was acquired from the preds will likely be between 27-31. I think they should trade Anisimov. He's not going to be part of the team's new plan. Possibilities to use Anisimov are: a) trade him and the latter 1st rounder (NSH) to get a true top4 dman b) trade him to get another 1st rounder c) trade him to move up in the draft to select a better player. IMO, if there are teams who are willing to trade a top 4 Dman, the Hawks should go that route. They already have very good prospects in Jokiharju (RD), Mitchell (RD), Krys (LD), Dylan Sikura (LW/C) and their own pick for this year. Trading Anisimov would also give them cap flexibility to go after UFAs come July 1st. Also sign Schmaltz to a 6-year deal, 5,5M AAV and Faulk to a 6-year deal, 6,5 AAV. Seabrook will be bought out in 2020 with compliance buyout. All in all, the young future defensive core of Hughes, Forsling, Jokiharju and Mitchell looks very good and forwards are not bad either.

Détails additionnels:
Canes have lots of very good young Dmen ready to step to Show. With this trade they get a reliable 3rd line center who can also be a productive PP guy and also they get space to Fleury and Bean to play bigger roles. This year's draft is a deep one. They could find a very good forward with that pick for their future. For Blackhawks, this trade fills their need on the right side. Faulk is also a very good powerplay player. Just what Hawks need.

Détails additionnels:
Canucks need picks. Hossa also has an actual salary of 1 million for the next three season even thoughhe has a 5,5M cap hit. This is a good way for Canucks to reach cap floor and it fits to their cap structure because guys like Petterson, Juolevi and this year's top pick need rise after 3 seasons, right when Hossa's contract comes to an end. Chi gets cap space to sign thei young guys and can also go to sign some UFAs.

I am 100% on board with trading Anisimov and NSH 1st for Justin Faulk, however I think it will be Anisimov, NSH 1st, and more (another pick or prospect). Also Vinnie should not be making that much and we do not need Kampf and Kero on a 4th line. They are the same mediocre 4th line/depth center

Hossa sounds like a good candidate for the Yotes.

Not bad, but add Vermette or Bozak too..... The Hawks really, really, really need bottom 6 guys that can PK, win draws and grind it out.

Also, IMO the salary cap will be MUCH higher than 79M.

This is also only a 21 man roster - need 3-4 more players.

When I point that out some "muh hate the Hawks" posters go ballistic... It's pretty funny actually.

You gotta remember Hossa allows a team to save 4.275 in actual cash money by basically circumventing the salary cap with that contract.

The contract's structure is genius when you think about it..... And the day he signed that contract I knew when he was making a million he would be an asset to a team that struggles to hit the cap floor...... Someone will want Hossa this summer...

Oh ya, a small market team looking to make the floor will be a huge player on him
