Find it incredulous the values being attached to Pacioretty, coming off a bad season, and now injury! I Patches couldn't get Montreal a 1st at this years deadline, when he could have been had for 2 playoff runs on a good contract, what's he worth now! Certainly not the above!

Alot of AHL kids for Laval in that trade...
Real value= Bjugstad, Hawlyruk AZ2nd = and even if Patch had a bad year, I still think it's a fair value and a great fit to Flo.
Add Fucale, McCarron to give them a fair AHL Value otherwise no needs for Lammikko, Brickley & Chase.

Montreal couldn't get a 1st? or refused to trade him for less than their asking? any playoff team, (and some teams chasing) would have thrown a 1st their way, its the other parts they refused to pay up at the time.

Pacioretty consistently nets 30+ goals and is one of the leagues elite snipers in the past 6 years. You are pretending one bad season (where he still doesn't have a decent center) ruins his trade value to the point you think he can't get a 1st round pick? Either you are trolling or have no clue what you are talking about.

I don't think Florida needs a guy like Pacioretty. Saying that, If you think that he isn't worth anything because of 1 bad year, which their entire team had, then you don't know what you are talking about. Remember what Nash went for at the deadline? Pacioretty will garner more than that.

Yeah Boston gave up what likely will be the 29-31st pick, a contract dump in Beleskey, (playing in the AHL, and badly) and Spooner who had no fit and they had been trying to move for 2+years! In addition New York took back 50% Nash's salary thus costing the Bruins, abosolutely nothing! They did give up a first, but for a guy that was extremely hot going into the deadline! Please tell me BECAUSE YOU ARE THE HOCKEY SAVANT that you do see a difference between that and the proposed deal for Bjugstad and 4 decent looking prospects, (3 centers)!
The only thing I agree with is that Florida doesn't need Pachioretty!
