Description
Going into this offseason, the Bruins are going to be in a pretty good spot with their core tied down (minus Chara).

With the lack of UFA top-6 Wingers, I think the Bruins should trade from depth. Krug and Carlo I both like, but are both very much replaceable. Send them both to Minn (who I don't know the depth of, so they might not need a LHD or RHD) for Nino. From a value perspective this could be very far-off or fairly close, so I'm not adding any draft picks.

Sign Carlson and De Haan to fill in those LHD and RHD spots, and provide an upgrade on the defensive corps (especially Carlson over Carlo).

Nino slots in on Bergy's right and pushes Pasta down next to Krecji who he has shown great chemisty with. Nino could also go with Krecji to leave Marchy-Bergy-Pasta line together.

Donato comes in and centers the 3rd line. I think this could very easily be JFK who makes the jump with Donato starting in Prov, but after the Olympics, the team might give him a shot right off the bat.

As for goalie, I would give Zane the back up role to begin the season, and if that goes to crap either trade for another piece or search the FA market again.

Let me know what you think of the signings/trades.

I like the idea of signing Carlson then trading Krug for a winger. But it seems like a stiff price to pay for Niederreiter. IMO I would want more than Niederreiter back for just Krug.

But what do I know, I thought Peter Chiarelli was a good GM and my DATM (tim murray) did him a huge favor by not trading Stewart for Spooner and a 2nd.
I wonder what my Botterill would give you for Krug? Reinhart straight up? Okposo (a little older than Niederreiter but 267 pts v 197 for Nino over the same period) and McCabe?

It's not a bad plan for one year, but puts you in pretty brutal cap hell when it comes time to re-sign all the kids who are playing well this year - McAvoy, DeBrusk, Heinen, etc.
