Cap at 79 million because that's the rumor. Maybe 77 I guess.
Hossa is most likely full cap relief.
Anisimov is more than expendable now that Nick Schmaltz is firing on all Cylinders as of late. The only thing missing would be that big body or grind around the net on the PP, but as we saw against Vegas, Tommy Wingels might get himself a spot on the PP (He had a PP goal tipped in front of the net). This is one instance, yes, but if he can get the chance there, he might take off. If he doesn't show something positive by the end of the season, do the Hawks consider keeping Anisimov as a 3rd line center stay away from Spooner? I think Pittsburgh would be a good fit, (Not to mention the big body on the PP if you play Malkin up high and Crosby behind the goal line.) Yes, they give up a first. Yes, that IS a lot to pay. But it would be worth it to them, and Chicago's asking price will be high.
Saad has not been the player we are used to seeing in the Windy City. I'm not in favor of trading him, as I think that he could have a bounce back year come next season, but Stan Bowman will be making changes, and if you thought last years were big, you've got another thing coming this summer. Sure, it may not be a Panarin talent type trade, but it will be big in the sense that it might hit a little to close to home for Hawks fans, as we may see some familiar faces on the out. Speaking of familiar faces, the player I think we could go after for Saad is Mats Zuccarello, a fan favorite in New York. Earlier this month, Jeff Gordon along with the Owner of the Rangers sent out a message to Rangers fans, asking them to stick with them through the rebuild they are inevitably heading into. In case you didn't know, rebuilding means getting younger and getting picks/prospects. Brandon Saad is five years younger then Zucc, and although he may be less talented, he still has a ton to offer, assuming he returns to the Saad we saw in the 2015 Playoffs.
Ryan Spooner was on the verge of not signing with an NHL team last summer, and finally was able to settle on a one year deal with the Bruins. Assuming the same sort of situation occurs this summer, the Hawks could jump on someone who has load of talent, but hasn't been able to reach his potential with Boston. I feel 2 thirds and a potential bust (Pokka) is enough for Spooner's rights, and 2 million is a good contract for short term.
I feel Plekanec would be a decent depth player. Let me know about the rest of the contracts.
Don't think arty is worth a first round pick. hawks would not give up a top defensive prospect and 2 draft picks for signing rights to a player who is inconsistent. Plus center is where the hawks are the strongest. Pokka might sign another 2-way contract but defiantly not for another 3 years. 2 max then he will ask for a more lucrative contract.

Pokka is not a top prospect. He is most likely a bust. And it can be one 3rd if preferred.
