Still leaves the Sabres about 8mil to possibly go after a big UFA..... guys like Carlson, JvR, or even Tavares..... of course, these are all long shots, which is why i didn’t actually include them in my lineup..... guys like Beaulieu, Larsson & Girgensons could also be traded..... and i do think the Sabres will move on from Lehner, but since there isn’t an obvious replacement, i just re-signed him for now..... trading all those guys would create another 10mil in room, and it might be possible to move Bogosian and/or Moulson, either of which would create another 5mil each in Cap Room..... trading all those players would give us around 27.5mil in Cap Room..... that would be ideal, but idk if we could move Bogosian (maybe) and/or Moulson (probably not)?

            Sure maybe as you said a few more players moved at the trading deadline. But if more are moved that sort of lowers the value because the market is flooded.

            Besides Kane, and MAYBE Lehner, i don’t expect any big moves at the deadline

            Don’t be so sure
            He has been struggling
            If guys like Nash & Grabner hot the market, then teams won’t be as desperate to give up as much (they’ll have other options)

            Just bc Botts is asking for a TON,
            doesn’t mean he’ll get it
            Kane is a rental, not under contract like Duchene

            Larsson is a heck of a defensive prospect
            If we got him & a 1st, I’d be very happy

            I was trying to be reasonable,
            and not look like a “video game GM”

            A LOT of what gets proposed on here is ridiculously stupid
