Description

What if Czarnik centered the 3rd line? Heinen/Czarnik/Backes dominated the preseason in 2016 what if that line was reunited? This might be beneficial for a couple reasons 1) there was obviously some chemistry there, as they were magnificent in the 2016 pre-season 2) moving Nash to the 4th line would add scoring depth to all 4 lines (and probably increase the output of Kuraly as well). The second move is what if we put McQuaid back on the 2nd pairing with Krug and moved Carlo back down to the 3rd pairing with Grzelcyk. I think our defense was a lot more balanced this way, and Krug and McQuaid also seemed to have really good chemistry. Thoughts?

The forward groups are irrelevant because once Marchand & Acciari come back, Czarnik goes back to the AHL. As far as the defense goes, keep it the way it is. McQuaid to way to slow to try and cover a 2 on 1 if Krug gets caught in the zone. Carlo is a much better skater and wont get burned as easily in a foot race.
