Is Grabner worth a 1st?

A ton of his goals are empty netters haha. Don't know about what you offered, I think its an overpay. Grabs could probably fetch a 2nd and conditional 4th that can become a 3rd IMO

in actual value he is not. but if there are a lot of sutors for him come trade deadline, he can fetch a late 1st

Someone would have to go in the deal (even though Grabner's salary is only 1.65 we are still at the ceiling/especially if we make the first deal which I really like) we need the cap space. If not Spoons than Nash but that line has been gelling really well I don't like the idea of moving Spooner to center that line and messing with the chemistry. Adding Spooner is simply a cap move on our end. As far as the 1st IDK??? That's what I'm asking...

Do you think any GM's around the league throw out a 1st as bait, because once it's out there that will be the par. I think adding Spoons would make us the highest bidder I don't think anyone would go higher than that for a rental. And of course it's going to be a late 1st round no matter who puts in a bid as only Cup contenders would be looking to add him... 1) he's a rental 2) he'll be looking for a raise next year (maybe not much, but his stock is high right now, that's why NYR is looking to cash in their chips)
