I don't think the Leafs would be interested in a defenseman that is on the Injury Reserve List for the next 4 to 6 weeks with a broken hand.

Avs trade is a wash
The Sabres trade doesn't make sense... why are the Leafs giving that much up for a UFA SCORING WINGER that they don't need? Leafs forwards have hit a "slump" but it's still full of guys like Matthews, Kadri, Nylander, Marner, JVR, Bozak etc.the offence will come, they literally have not been clicking together all year since like the 2nd game of the year.

Very true. I'm still looking at Carlson and C. Miller tbh. I hope the Leafs can land 1 of them.

Leafs have plenty of wingers, really don't to spend assets on Kane. Other teams will. I don't know why the Avs do that trade, an expiring contract and a questionable NHLer, surely the Avs could do better.
I don't think the Leafs do the deal either for Barrie. Leafs need Bozak with year, and when he goes as a UFA, the Leafs would rather have free cap money than 5.5m of Barrie.
