Might I suggest a tweak:
Brodie for Pacioretty. We keep Lindgren, and our draft picks. We get Brodie to play with Weber. CAL gets a premiere "sniper" to add to it's young group of offensive talent.

As for the CHI trade, I don't think it makes sense for them. They lose their 2nd line center for a guy that was basically a salary dump for them a few years back. They also get Byron, but he's not going to be a cheap cap hit much longer either. The book is still out on Scherbak. It makes them deeper on the wings, but gives them a problem at center (unless they have a prospect ready to take that spot that I'm not aware off).

Outside of goaltending, No way is this Montreal team better then the current Islanders team. Tavares isn't leaving the Islanders to come to the mess in Montreal.
