I’d take that deal if I were Boston.

I do believe it would cost more to get rid of Forsberg than a 5th, but Grier allowed NJ to get off of Vanacek’s salary.

Boston probably takes that deal. sjs is not the partner to dump forby to esp for just a 5th. Jake is only leaving boston if he gets 6m+ if we dump kane(edm) then he will most likely come here for about that. 6m+ seems to be the only way out of edm or boston. other signings r solid. feel like it would be better to at that point keep joseph and move bran for a 3rd+

You might be right. It's only a one year deal though and SJ likely won't be competitive next year so I figured they may be willing to eat a little bit of cap to gain a little extra draft capital

I agree that I would like to keep Joseph but it seems like the writing is on the wall and he's gone. Also saw a rumor last night by a credible Kings reporter about Kaliyev possibly coming to the Sens
