Putting the realism of the trade value aside, I don't believe in a Zacha - Necas - Pasta line at 5 on 5 in the NHL. I'm all for bringing in Necas on the wing and letting him earn his way to center, but I think those three only see the ice in certain situations like on the PP.
Zacha is probably the most defensively responsible of those 3, but he is on the wing. Zacha is also much better at the dot than Necas. If that line has possession then they could work some real magic in the O-zone, but if they don't have possession of the puck, I fear they would get caved. Also, if Necas was good enough to be a 1C for the Bruins to start next season, I have no doubt he would have been the 2C in Carolina for the past few years and they wouldn't be even thinking about letting him go. The Canes and Bruins look for similar qualities in centers.
