Cap room is worth more than we imagine - especially if a team is jammed up to the ceiling, like let's say oh....the Leafs

as it stands the leafs have 18 530 333$ in cap space for next season
under contract
10 fwds 5 dmen and 1 goaltender
most of the available spots can be filled with low salary players (bottom 6 and 3rd pair)
higher costs would include 1 or 2 d, Domi n Bert and 1 back up goaltender
its not as stark as evryone crys about (and I was one of them until I looked at the actual numbers)

sure it works for the leafs or any other team..i mean from a players perspective..i think they get more than whats being presented..that said id love for a player (or two) to give us discounts (it would be a first for the leafs aside from Gio and Spezza, but they were way past prime even though they played well)
