Seider and Raymond get matching 8x8.5 contracts which sets up a nice internal cap under Larkin.

Holl gets moved out with some retained salary instead of being bought out. Basically just paying a mid/late pick to save ~1 mil in what would be years 3 & 4 of a buyout. I imagine he wouldn't be too hard to trade at 2x2.4.

I'd like to hold onto Maatta since he's responsible defensively but with Johansson on the team, I don't see a place for him.

Matt Roy is a very solid 2-way defenseman that should help give us 2 solid pairings and take some of the load off Seider. I might be lowballing him a bit but hopefully he wants to come home.

Unfortunately I had to get rid of Fabbri to make the cap the work. He could be traded as a cap dump but it might just be easier to do a buyout.

I'm hoping Kane wants to come back. The 3 years should help reduce the cap a little.

Noesen has put up good advanced stats with the Canes and should be a good addition to the bottom 6. I'm not too sure on his cap hit.

Goalie will be interesting as there aren't many proven ones in free agency and I can't justify the Wings trading a 1st for a Markstrom/Ullmark.

I'm putting Husso on LTIR since he re-injured himself twice when trying to come back. No idea if this could happen but if not he'll probably get bought out.

From free agency, I'll take a flyer on Kahkonen. He performed admirably with the Sharks this season, so hopefully he can play better behind a slightly better Detroit defense. He'll get a chance to be Detroit's #1.

Could the Devils trade Schmid if they end up with Markstrom & Allen? I have the Wings trading Berggren since I think he's gone this offseason, but if the Devils aren't interested you could swap him with ~a 4th. I have the Red Wings going with 3 goalies again this year since none of these guys are really proven.

Overall, the teams doesn't look too different from last year. They're due for some regression offensively so hopefully they can improve enough defensively to compensate for that. I have Kasper, Mazur, Edvinsson, and Johansson making the opening night lineup and Danielson should be given the opportunity as well if he performs well enough in preseason. Goalie remains sketchy but I don't think there's really anything they can do to change that.
