The “overpay” on Lindgren is probably to keep the years short rather than 8 year extension which wouldn’t end well

But yea I wouldn’t give that to Wennberg or Sprong especially since they’ll need cap next year for Igor, Laffy and KAM

Why do most people here insist on buying out Goodrow? A buyout would cost the Rangers over 8M compared trade at a 50% discount which would cost less than 5M.

It depends on what level of "sweetener" would need to be added to move him. If they could dump him for a bag of pucks, or just have to add a mid Round Pick, then go for it.

But if it costs premium assets in order to get rid of him, than the Buyout becomes the better option.
