Description
Keeping out own & cutting some dead weight...............
Seeing what we’d look like with a couple UFA signings instead of speculating on crazy trades that probably wouldn’t happen............... I’ve got Mittelstadt starting in Rochester.......... signed a few familiar names to help out Rochester since we are bringing up some kids.......... still leaves about 6.8mil in CapRoom to address the goalie situation. Most likely have to trade for someone decent

    1. Moulson, Matt
    Détails additionnels:
Finally reasonable for a team (doesn’t have to be Arizona) to take him since he’ll only be owed a real salary of 2mil
    2.
    BUF
We may have to add a pick or prospect to get it done, or even keep some salary (which would be fine too)

To whoever will take him. He needs a change of scenery, & we need to move on
      3.
      BUF
too expensive to be our 7th defenseman, & I want Guhle in the lineup... we get something like a 4th I’d guess

Draft pick... 3rd? Maybe a 2nd? Idk... but I’m ready to move on unless he shows MAJOR improvement

Rights to LEHNER... doesn’t have to be Florida though. There’s gonna be teams out there who need a goalie & there’s nothing on the UFA list

Not a Buffalo fan but may be time to move on from E.Kane as well the guy is good but is a cancer in the dressing room. Would also not want to go to battle without a #1 goalie and to trade for a decent one gonna need most of that remaining cap space if not all of it.

Lehner haters are great. When he does great they wont say anything but when he does bad they are all over it. Sure he isn't doing well this year yet was great last year. Johnson is terrible this year yet he wasnt a couple years ago. See a pattern? Maybe its the new system the defense plays (which not even they are use to) and miscommunication over the goalies themselves. Is there even a better goalie available? As for the rest of the post Moulson will take the full 2.5 to retain and bogosian at this point is not movable. Im not to keen about kane on the 3rd line id say its JVR or Kane. Other then that and goaltending I like this team

Kane hasn’t been a problem even ONCE in the Sabres locker room
He works hard & is well liked

I would want to trade for a goalie before the season started, I just didn’t list a particular guy bc I didn’t wanna hear ppl complain & day he wouldn’t be available, or that’s not enough to get him, etc
But an example of someone I’d be interested in is Crawford if Chicago were to move him (doesn’t have to be him specifically though)
And I’m fine spending 6mil on a goalie

I’ve never been a fan of Lehner, although i have given him a chance. His temptement is an issue, his rebounds need to be improved, and his body control is a disaster at times.
            U like him? Ok...
            I just don’t think he’s good enough

A “Cap floor” team will want ALL of Moulson’s 5.0mil hit. What finally makes him tradable is that he’d only have 1year left & his actual salary they’d have to pay is only 2mil.

Bogosian is a harder deal, but teams are always looking for a defenseman & imo someone will take a chance on him getting healthy & helping them out. Guys like this always get plenty of chances.
At worst, we have to keep some salary.
I’m not expecting anything good in return. Something like a 4th at best

Lines 1-3 get even 5v5 icetime in this case, so I’m not worried who’s on a line labeled “3” per se
The talent is spread over 3 lines so we have scoring depth & the best players will still get their extra icetime on the PP
