For the future of this team I dont think any of those players is worth giving up Puliot and Clendening. Along with Dumolin those 3 are going to be 3 of the best defensemen in the leauge in the years to come. And the best thing about young players is their low salaries, your giving up 2 great defensemen with tons of upside that carry a cap of less than 2m for an old defensemen who is only going to get worse for 4m and next year he is asking for 8 years and 55m (6.875 m/yr). Not worth it at all, stupid trades like this might look good for a quick fix; but long term they kill organizations and deplete any trade chips going forward if something is needed. (Like the pens problem is now, they need a top 4 def and don't have anything good to trade and you can't keep giving away prospects and picks for something with declining value) When you have a team with big contracts like Crosby & Malkins your going to need low contracts to balance them out. The only ways to get those are with rookies or old vets like Cullen, and the problem with the later is that next year Cullen very well could retire and the Pens will have nothing in return.
