Trying something different

AZ does this - why not low risk and johansen could be on 4th line w mcbain and obrein - be the toughest line in hockey

Why not go hard at AZ for both Dumba and Bjugstad? it will cost because AZ does not want to part with Bjugstad but the two players fill the need and don't break the cap. Boogy has 1 more year on his contract so there is that to consider.

Same overall package just add Bjugstad and the COL 24 1st. gives the needed cap relief an extra year of a quality middle six center and the minute munching, right shot, toughness on the blue line that Colorado is in need of.

Dumba & Bjugstad = COL 24 1st and Olausson
Johansen 8MM cap relief = 25 3rd

I don't see Bjugstad as the best fit for Colorado. Like the player but I just think he'd either be playing out of position (i.e. too high in the lineup) force someone like Colton into the same. That's just me though. I know some folks feel differently.
