I doubt this team would play for berube

He’d demand to much of them and as this core has shown time and time again they can’t handle the pressure

i think that is on sheldon, not on the team tbh.

we have seen other teams who have stuggled to come together in the past suddenly play well under a new coach that demands discipline out of them

At the same time, Keefe rarely held them accountable.
But under Keefe they team had improved defensively every year until this year. This year the team had the biggest turnover on forward and defense. Kerfoot defensively is missed. Holl not great but could have helped depth wise same as Schenn.
Not all of Treliving as he tried with 1 year contracts but 2 of 3 have failed. Klingberg huge failure but the idea made sense as now with the Reilly injury the biggest area all insiders say will hurt the most is the power play. Aside of Reilly they had no good puck movers.
Second Bertuzzi was praised at the time but despite his advanced stats showing great hockey, he has been extremely unlucky to a point where you question if his previous point totals were lucky to get.
Domi has not been great but at least doing enough worth a similar type of contract but still suspect defensively.
All in all, Tre tried but his pieces work to a C- grade of D for the year and not sure how much Berube can help this year.
Next year though could be much better.

That’s completely fair too, I will say it’s just such and offensive team that idk if bringing in a defensive coach is the play
