Description

These two have really been hampering the team in scoring this season.

I think Smith is still a good player, the penguins just aren't the right fit for him.

I'm not sure what's going on with Rakell, 60 point season last year and just has been snake bitten this year (i know he was out a few games).

Would imagine it'd be pretty difficult to move Rakell but if they want to be serious about making a playoff push they need to upgrade one of these two players.

Still little bit of inconsistencies from Rakell but he actually has 14 points in 18 games since returning from an injury. I think the same thing about Smith though. He’s a great player, but maybe he just doesn’t fit our system sadly. He got off to a solid start but his production fizzled after a while.

If they continue to win, then they won't be sellers. Definitely look into a hockey trade to swap out Smith for another forward. Also would like to add a 4C (unless Poulin can do it). Acciari is better served at RW.

Also, would look to upgrade on POJ. Need someone stronger defensively.

A hockey trade for Smith would be ideal, idk who or what or where. I've said Smith for Saad but idk if that's realistic or a good fit.
