Hardly cap friendly is it? 20 man roster, six man NHL Dman. Wouldn't the Leaf be much better keeping Minten the first, and instead of Forsberg spend 8.5m on three players to have working 22 man roster. A right winger, a centre, and RHD. Doubt if Walker can be had that cheap. Nashville passes too.

It's a tough decision, if we're rebuilding, I'd take that pretty easily. But if not, I can't see Trotz parting ways with one of our best players in franchise history. It's a fair price though.

I doubt the Preds would ever seriously consider trading Forsberg. Now, if they did, I’d assume there would be better packages than this on the table

I wouldn't. Two late firsts that will have very little chances of being anything significant and a middle six forward prospect. I'd rather keep our ppg forward.
