Tyler Myers, Ian Cole, Teddy Blueger, Casey DeSmith, Dakota Joshua walk in Free Agency and get paid. Canucks bring back Sam Lafferty, as he is the prototype Bottom 6 center. He is a right shot, who plays with a lot of speed and skill and is a play driver. Canucks use Abbotsford to graduate some prospects, who can hopefully give them some depth scoring. While Zadorov is a tall, physical presence who is a solid shutdown defensemen. You have to pay a little premium to keep him, but his play style is a desperate need for Vancouver in the playoffs. And he should be a big priority to re-sign and bring back.

In Free Agency, Chris Tanev should be the prime target. If they can get him at a similar contract to Soucy, considering he will be 35 years old, that is a big W. Although he can probably get more elsewhere, but he has roots and friendships in Vancouver. And a lot of unfinished business. I can see him taking a little less to come back and play with the boys. And chase the Stanley Cup. If not, they can spend that $3M elsewhere in the lineup. Or save it to accrue cap space and go big at the trade deadline. Plenty of options.

Also Tom Willander joins the team late in the season for a playoff push and extra depth. However he will probably be sent down to Abbotsford for conditioning, if the team defense is fully healthy.
