Nuge or Lucic will have to go

So the one thing is Yamamoto will have two ears on his contract as he won't play more than 9 regular season games this year. So I think when Yamamoto's contract needs to be resigned. Nuge or Lucic is gone. But for this year cap is fine. Oilers will need some depth and I don't think Kas would be re signed

I sure hope Puljujarvi is worth 8 x $4.9M in two years, as it hasn't looked like it to date. But I guess we couldn't have predicted Draisaitl's contract two years ago either.

I think every team would like Edmonton to be stuck with those contracts as it would benefit everyone else. Most teams won't take a terrible contract from a solid team in order for that team to be more successful. Hell, the only way Chicago is surviving is because they made a deal with Vegas to take Kruger for "future considerations" and having a player suddenly and mysteriously too allergic to his uniform after a long career to play.

I honestly dont think this is that terrible. you probably overpaid by half a mill to mill for each of nurse benning and jesse. I also think there might be a chance of getting marroon for less.
