If they do sell, it’ll probably be Eberle, Wennberg, maybe Gourde or Tanev or any other 1 year guy

Thats why they are getting a 1st 😲😲😲😲

But one that's top 10 protected, so Seattle would trade arguably their top goal scorer, for an aging third line player that they already have plenty of, a defensive prospect that, so far, hasn't panned out on Long Island, and a first round pick that probably wouldn't be in their lineup for a minimum of three years?

I get the idea of stocking the cupboards, but where's the incentive for Seattle for a mid-first rounder?

Seattle sells as they begin a rebuild. They have an aging core but have a few great prospects coming up like Firkus, Wright, Evans, Carson Rehkopf, Nyman, Nelson, Kokko, etc. So they start selling off some of the core like eberle, schwartz, etc
