Could see them going with 7 d-men. I doubt Fabbro would be the scratch, he's pretty underrated defensively and Carrier is a UFA after the season, so I'd say maximize Fabbro's value by showing he can make the roster.
For forward group, I would've done:
Forberg-ROR-Evang/Tomasino
Nyquist-Novak-Evang/Tomasino
Trenin-Glass-Sissons
SF-Pars-Sherwood
This way our top two lines can give us solid offense and our 3rd line can be our defensive line.
I'm also not really prepared to see Pars on the top line. I think Tomasino and Evangelista have proven they can handle it and I think it's their shot.

I think 7 d-man is most likely, and it would not be a far cry from what they have done in the past. I kept going back and forth between Fabbro and Lauzon as the one who sits, and I think it will just be a toss-up.

I agree with you that I think Tomasino/Evangelista have earned a chance to skate in the top line, but I also can't put Parssinen on the 4th line after how good he has looked during the preseason, and ever since coming back from injury he has been centering a top 6 line or skating with Forsberg & ROR and has looked good doing it, so I don't see a world where he isn't skating with them at least for the start of the season. Maybe as the season goes on one of Tomasino/Evangelista swaps with Parssinen. That said, I'm a big fan of NSH's take on the kid line, with Tomasino - Novak - Evangelista and I think that is a lot of pure offense.

I like these lines, but McCarron is missing - he made the opening night roster too.

I could see him on the 4th line for opening night instead of Sherwood, if TB dresses Jeannot and Watson. Ideally, he's a healthy scratch most nights though.

Makes sense. He's a tough guy who can protect younger players.
