Just thought that it might be fun to explore what it would take to create the ultra Russian first line of Ovechkin - Kuznetsov - Tarasenko
To all Caps fans who believe that Anthony Mantha carries value... he does not, teams view him as an anchor and will not take on that contract without a sweetener even though there is only one year left. I picked Anaheim because they still only have 11 NHL forwards once Zegras and Terry are re-signed (unless Carlsson plays in the NHL next season), and they have the cap space to carry Mantha for one season. If they give him top 6 minutes and lots of powerplay time he has chance to bounce back and fetch them a solid return at 50% retained salary for the deadline.
