    Since you don't even have Nieto playing just swap Chartier with Nieto and the deal is good. It would put the team under the cap too.

    Sounds good to me. I'd make the deal as long as we have someone to replace Braun. Works out for both teams

    Although talent wise it might be fair, just wonder if the Sharks want to take on Malkin's salary and term for another 6 years. After having the Thornton and Marleau with NTC in their line up for years under similar contracts, do they want to continue that policy.

    Probably not but I just did this to see if it would work out cap wise. With Marleau and Thornton off the books a year after this trade, malkins contract shouldn't be too much of a problem
