While highly, and I do want to stress, highly unlikely, Colton would be an excellent replacement for Barbashev. Playing on a line with Eichel and Marchy might allow him to blossom into a versatile top-six winger. I've heard the acquisition cost is going to be roughly a first-round pick, so I threw in the 32nd, 2025 3rd, and Paul Cotter. Cotter would make sense for TB, given his low cap hit & term (Comparable to the Hagel trade.) This offer might be slightly on the lower side, but I think it's fair.
The Martinez trade is simply a cap dump. He plays a hard-nosed, smart defensive game, but his production doesn't match his salary. He could fit in really well on Vancouver's left side. Other destinations that make sense could include Philly and Buffalo.
In FA, I wasn't super active, but I did conduct some smart business. I love Cole's style of game, and I think he would be a great replacement for Martinez. I gave him two years which in turn lowered the AAV. If Cole is too pricey, they could also target Forbert, Soucy, or De Haan.
Overall, I think the value is fair. Let me know what you guys would change!
Tampa definitely accepts but I have a hard time finding this realistic as I think it’s a little too good for us. Maybe remove the 3rd or the 1st and add a second. Definitely interesting

That's kind of what I figured. I assumed there would be a bidding war which led me to throw in the third. It's going to be very interesting to see where he ends up.

I didn’t know vegas has the space to be able to offer him 4+. Definitely interesting as that 1st isn’t necessary valuable to their win now team. Tampa can look to move it for a serviceable ld and all teams are happy.
