No one taking Staal for anything of value & not without NYR assuming 50% of that deal.
Nieves had some concussion issues last year so he's not on anyone's list of prospects to take from NYR until he plays some games this year.

I don't see the Rangers trading picks lightly like they used to, and definitely not the 2018 1st or 2nd.

I understand the pick idea in order to move Staal, but Nieves isn't going to register outside of our universe.

2019, stronger prospect and we eat say 1.5m of Staal. I may be under offering...but I guess it's cause I am not too crazy about Little anyway.
