Description

Selling off the big four and bringing about a youth movement to compete again in a couple of years. If scheifele wants to stay, I’d offer him a 9.5Mx5year deal while also giving him a clear vision of what this team wants out of him. I think this is a bubble team that might make the playoffs if all goes right. Which is exactly where they are now. However, in a couple of years, this team might be a contender.

With that goal in mind, this is an aggressive retool. Not a long term build. (Ie no more days off chevy).

This summer would be highlighted by moves for swayman and Mantha. Depending on what happens with demelo, might make a move to bring in another guy next year. The goal is to compete, just not immediately. Mantha would be a stopgap to allow for Lucius/lambert to get a year of ahl development before coming up.

Traded all of em but scheifele, who is probably the most likely to stay. And idk if moving 3/4 means a rebuild, I literally made 2 teams saying otherwise. Also, hard to rebuild while having Morrissey, ehlers, connor, and whoever we get for the core 4. Thats not a rebuild, its a retool

That's a hefty price for Helle. I feel like the Canes would prefer to keep Kochetkov, he's cheap and is the future. And I can't see them Moving Morrow either.

Good luck, I don't see Scheifele staying. The way he sounded at the presser. Like he wasn't happy with the way the team was heading. And losing PLD, Wheeler and Hellebuyck is going to hurt big time..
