Go for a different Goalie 1 and 3rd Pairing Right Defenseman and I'd be in favor of it. I'm just not a huge favor of Korpisalo and Addison and I think somebody like Dustin Wolf (G, CAL) and Jalen Chatfield (RD, CAR) would be a lot better replacements for those two. I'm also not sure that Ondrej Kase is ever going to play a game in North America again given his concussion.

The Ek trade is a joke right? He would cost far more than that on his contract and remaining term. You’d be looking at 3 1sts for a perennial selke candidate making 5.25 at his age, production and size.

Kase is gone this off-season, and is almost certainly going overseas. Skjei and Pesce almost certainly take matching deals, or at least close to matching deals, much like Pelech and Pulock. Hathaway at 2.5 just to play on the 4th line is a waste of cap space. Would rather not give Noesen 2.5, but don’t hate it that much.

Would love to bring in Addison. I think he could improve his offensive capabilities even further in Carolina, and maybe even improve his defensive capabilities as well. I would love to have JEE in Carolina, but with the Wild’s lack of quality centers, and the cost certainty he carries with him, it will take a lot more than that to get him out of Minnesota. I would also rather keep playing KK at 2C, he has earned it and is continuing to improve his offensive game.
