Description
O'Reilly will probably go for a higher number but given our cap situation and need for an actual leader and front line center it's very possible. Lucic comes back on a one last ride kind of deal and we retain Orlov and Bertuzzi. We probably won't have a record breaking season like we did this year but we'll still very much be a powerhouse even if Bergy retires.

Spot on. Orlov, Swayman, and Bertuzzi contracts are all laughably low. Orlov got dealt because Caps didn't want to extend him at the number he wanted. Someone else will snatch him up in FA if that's the offer he gets from Boston.

Compher isn't taking a pay cut off his salary last year after having a career points year, he's probably looking for that one last good contract so 5-6 years term, and then maybe you get him sub $3m but I'd say that's unlikely.

The Bruin's future is grim given their cap situation unless guys currently on the roster just get better.
