    By no means do I consider him any kind of long term solution, but he is better than Chara and Krug, and will better help McAvoy evolve into the elite defenseman he should become.

    You're right on the Pasta signing, I've edited to reflect that.


    He is not better than Chara, they are the same (given age difference), but Z is a better teacher than Markov would ever be. This is Z's team, he wants the kids to do well (i.e, Carlo last year) Markov wouldn't give a crap!
    And Krug?, well they are different types of D men. Krug has much more offensive upside than Markov, but maybe doesn't quite matchup defensively....anyway tough to compare the 2.

    McAvoy will be fine all on his own, however, Bruins have enough veteran D's to teach him!!!
