Yeah no way Caps do this. They are selling at the deadline and they'll probably see if a new coach will play Mantha like he deserves. They aren't going to pay to move him. At worst I can see them accepting a 2nd for him.

Not to mention Detroit is tied with the Caps and have 3 games in hand and Buffalo is 2 points behind them with 4 games in hand.

One of two things happen with mantha imo. Either he gets traded for a pick (maybe a second at best) or he stays on the team through the end of his contract with the hope that he pops off next year under a new coach. Can’t see Lavi sticking around after this year.
