Keeping ROR next year

Bunting at 8 years is crazy risky. I like the idea of Bertuzzi though.

Contract situation / Cap space will be fine for next year. It's planning for the following season when you need to extend Matthews, Nylander, Sandin, Liljegren & replace Brodie.

Not going to be a super attractive destination for high end UFAs that want term, unless they can lock in these extensions as early as possible.

I think it would be Bertuzzi OR Bunting. Not both.

I agree, but I just have a feeling the leafs are going to lock him up long term so they can get him at a shorter cap hit. I could be wrong but he feels different than Hyman, Mikheyev, etc.

Yah I think Bertuzzi would be a nice add. I think he’d bounce back on a team like the leafs.

Very true, after I finished the team I thought about that.

I guess instead of Bertuzzi, sign or trade for someone on a one year deal (maybe that could still be Bertuzzi lol).
